Through all the fanfare and fireworks and quiet moments, it arrived on schedule, as it always does. Another year, to plan and dream and live out special times and create new memories.
Again this year, I rang it in with my family in France, well ahead of my Canadian family. True to form, David delighted us with another New Years' Eve feast of Chinese dishes.
To finish off December, we had a great Christmas together with lots of fun gifts, many laughs and some great surprises. Feelings of delight and contentment all around. My gifts included: earrings, a portable charger, a Grenoble souvenir, a haircut coupon, a special tea blend, green socks knit by Karen, a bottle of Ricard, and a certificate for hugs anytime I request.
David excelled once again with the turkey dinner, and we even found cranberries this year to make the sauce. Once again the luxury of connecting with all the rest of the family through FaceTime calls is an added bonus.
Did some more puzzles over the holidays-
Wednesday I visited the better fabric store in town. Wow, the selections. I did buy one piece that was on sale, but couldn't get enough of looking and touching, until they came to pick me up.
New Year's Eve day I walked in the town, sat and watched the people bustling about, and shot a picture of the center.
Then New Year's Eve we drove through after midnight to take a friend of Tedy's home after their party and got to see the lights there without all the street lights on. It's very pretty, but my photos aren't great because we were driving.
And so the finishing touches on 2025.
I think my next blog will be much more exciting. Details upcoming.
Happy New Year everyone. Bonne Année.
May 2026 be filled with lots of accomplished goals and dreams, and health and contentment for you all.
