I intended to add a few pictures from my walk yesterday, but when I posted at 2:30 or so I forgot. Down this road are several interesting animals that the local people visit and feed.

Also, Pétanque (French pronunciation: [petÉ‘̃k]; Occitan: petanca [peˈtaÅ‹kÉ”]) is a sport that falls into the category of boules sports, along with raffa, bocce, boule lyonnaise, lawn bowls and crown green bowling. All of these sports share something in common, in that players or teams play their boules/balls towards a target ball.
Sunday afternoon we visited the family of one of the coaches. Madeline is also good friends with one of their daughters. Another coach, Richard, was also there. Needless to say, the talk was mostly of football along with lots of thyme tea. Monday night bought New Years Eve and I'm amazed to realize that despite 2 celebrations ( 1 for the earlier to bed ones), I did not take any pictures. We did do count downs and kissing and hugs and watched z few fireworks in different directions, but I got NO pictures. After midnight the 4 oldest, minus me, played a game called Catan, and I had a little snooze in preparation for the hockey game at 2. It ended at 4:30, jbut was not a good outcome for Canada.
Now we have moved into a new year, complete with a dandy cold for me. The temperatures are low digits for the winter so far-reaching maybe 0 to 5 or 6 most days.

and we (Charlie, Tedy, Joanna and I) had a little stroll to take bottles to glass recycle bin. We continue to play and chill our days along. It's nice just to be a part of it and I do love games.
They are little goats. You can tell by comparing to the hens.

Today we played lots of board games. It's so nice that everyone is on holidays and we can just 'chill' all day. It was a little colder than yesterday, but in the afternoon we all went over to the basketball court and played various outdoor things. I learned-Mölkky (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈmølkky]) is a Finnish throwing game invented by Lahden Paikka company (formerly known as Tuoterengas) in 1996. It is reminiscent of kyykkä, a centuries-old throwing game with Karelian roots. However, mölkky does not require as much physical strength as kyykkä, and is more suitable for everyone regardless of age and condition. Mölkky requires no special equipment and success is based on a combination of chance and skill.

Madeline's favorite recipe is chocolate chip cookies and she likes it so much that she chops up chocolate bar to make them, since chips are not readily available.
